About Liam
Liam Mitchell recently celebrated his ten-year anniversary of working at Riverside. His playful spirit, subtle sense of humor, and patience make him a perfect tutor for the youngest crew, the 8 to 9-year-old first-year boys.
He is particularly skilled with art and film and shares his knowledge and talents in these areas by leading camps in naturalist storytelling, stop-motion video, and special effects, to name a few.
Having been homeschooled himself through high school, Liam was well-suited to join Riverside. Born in Ireland, Liam and his family moved back and forth between America and the Emerald Isle a couple of times, before he landed in New Hampshire at Thomas More College of Liberal Arts. It was actually the president of Thomas More who knew Peter was looking to hire a Tutor for Riverside and connected him with Liam.
Since then, Liam has helped move Riverside several times and is thankful for the blessing of a forever home in Big Rock, (with plenty of storage space for the set-pieces and equipment that no longer have to inhabit the Mitchell garage).
Liam is blessed by a wonderful wife, Kate, who understands his love for the creative and imaginative journey that is Riverside. Their family of seven is growing as they are expecting baby number six in August 2026.
